📄 By downloading or using Godos, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully — they cover your rights, our responsibilities, and how the service works.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Godos mobile application ("the App", "Godos"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
These Terms apply to all users of Godos, including those who access the App through the Apple App Store. By creating an account, you confirm you are at least 13 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
Godos is operated from the United Kingdom. Under UK GDPR and the ICO's Age Appropriate Design Code, the minimum age for this service is 13. If you are located in an EU member state that sets a higher age of digital consent (up to 16), you must obtain verifiable parental or guardian consent before using the App. We do not knowingly allow users under 13 to create accounts; if we discover that a user is under 13 we will delete their account and associated data.
2. About Godos
Godos is a cloud-connected task management and productivity application for iOS, developed and operated by ALIV CODE Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). Features include to-do lists, a daily planner, an AI chat assistant, list sharing, and a social/friends system.
An account is required to use Godos. Your data is stored on our servers as described in our Privacy Policy.
3. Account Registration
To use Godos you must register an account with a valid email address, a username, and a password. You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate and current registration information
- Keeping your password confidential
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised use at [email protected]
You may not create accounts on behalf of others, use another person's account, or register multiple accounts to circumvent any restrictions.
4. Licence to Use the App
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use Godos on an iOS device you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the App or any part of it
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code
- Use the App to build a competing product or service
- Sublicense or sell access to the App
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices or branding
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Godos to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Harass, threaten, or harm other users
- Share content that is illegal, abusive, or infringes third-party rights
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or another user's account
- Transmit malware, spam, or any disruptive code
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically access the App or its data by automated means
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without prior notice.
6. AI Chat Assistant
Godos includes an AI-powered chat assistant. You acknowledge that:
- AI-generated responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading
- You should not rely on AI output for medical, legal, financial, or safety decisions
- Conversations are stored on our servers and may be transmitted to our AI provider(s) as identified in our Privacy Policy to generate responses
- You should not share sensitive personal, financial, or health information with the assistant
7. Social Features and User Content
Godos allows you to share lists with other users and add friends. By using these features:
- Your username and display name are visible to other users who search for you or view shared lists
- You are responsible for any content you share with other users
- You grant us a limited licence to store and display your shared content solely to provide the service
We do not proactively monitor user content but reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms. If you encounter content or behaviour that you believe violates these Terms or is abusive, you can report it by contacting us at [email protected] with details of the account or content in question. We will review all reports and take appropriate action.
8. Intellectual Property
All rights, title, and interest in Godos — including the app, its design, code, branding, and all associated intellectual property — belong to ALIV CODE Ltd. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership to you.
You retain ownership of any content you create within the App (such as your tasks and lists). You grant us the right to store, process, and display that content solely to operate the service for you.
9. Privacy and Data Protection
Your use of Godos is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the App, you consent to the data practices described in that policy.
Godos processes personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Where we serve users in the European Economic Area, we also comply with the EU GDPR to the extent applicable.
10. Subscriptions and Pricing
Godos is currently available as a free download. If we introduce paid features, subscriptions, or in-app purchases in the future, the following will apply:
- Pricing will be clearly disclosed before any purchase is made
- Subscriptions will be billed through the Apple App Store; your Apple ID account will be charged upon confirmation of purchase
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
- You may manage or cancel subscriptions at any time via your Apple ID account settings
- Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy; we are unable to process refunds directly for App Store purchases
- We will provide reasonable advance notice of any pricing changes
11. Availability and Changes
We aim to keep Godos available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time without notice. We may also update features or these Terms at our discretion.
We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes (for example, via an in-app notice). Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in the performance of our obligations under these Terms where such failure or delay results from any cause beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: acts of God, fire, flood, earthquake, pandemic, governmental action, war or civil unrest, failure of third-party infrastructure or internet services, power failure, or failure of our cloud hosting or AI providers. Our obligations will be suspended for the duration of such an event.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
Godos is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
Use of the App is entirely at your own risk.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ALIV CODE Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use Godos, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the amount you paid (if any) for the App in the twelve months prior to the claim.
15. Termination
You may stop using Godos and delete your account at any time from within the App. Account deletion permanently removes your data from our servers, subject to the retention exceptions described in the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, including (without limitation): violation of our Acceptable Use policy (§5), misuse of the AI assistant, abusive behaviour towards other users, fraud, or unlawful conduct. We may also suspend accounts pending investigation of suspected violations. Where required by applicable law, we will provide reasonable notice before permanent termination.
16. Dispute Resolution and Alternative Dispute Resolution
We aim to resolve any concerns quickly and informally. If you have a complaint, please contact us first at [email protected] and we will endeavour to respond within 14 days.
If we are unable to resolve your complaint directly, you may be entitled to refer the matter to an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) scheme. As a UK-based service, we support access to ADR as encouraged under UK consumer regulations. Details of available ADR schemes can be found via the UK government's dispute resolution service finder. Nothing in this clause limits your statutory rights as a consumer.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
18. Accessibility
We are committed to making Godos accessible to all users. We aim to follow applicable accessibility guidelines, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, where relevant to the App. If you experience accessibility barriers or have suggestions for improvement, please contact us at [email protected].
19. Apple App Store
These Terms are between you and ALIV CODE Ltd only, not Apple Inc. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support services for the App. To the extent permitted by law, Apple has no warranty obligation with respect to Godos. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
20. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated via an in-app notice. Your continued use of Godos after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
